Trivia[]

  • This is the first short of Mighty Magiswords.
  • The show is available on Cartoon Network Video and Cartoon Network's On Demand service in standard definition and HD.
  • This is the first appearance of the Warriors for Hire.

Production notes[]

  • This is the first Cartoon Network original web series.
  • This cartoon was animated in-house at Cartoon Network Studios with no oversea labor whatsoever.[1]
  • Victor Courtright did the scratch dialogue voice for the Slugburger clerk in the animatic but in the finished version, Kyle Carrozza voices him.[2] Courtright would later voice Mr. Flummocks in the TV series.
  • Cartoon Network's description of the short was that Grup the Dragon guarded the Boulder Magisword. However, it was revealed in a deviantArt post that the dragon was actually a different character but with same appearance and voiced named Prug.[3] This was because Grup was originally depicted to be like that before they became their own entities in the second series of shorts.

Connections to Other Episodes[]

  • It is revealed in Random Acts of Memory, that Nohyas freed the Warriors from the cave and that he erased their memories of Prug, which is why they don't remember meeting Prug.
