Arin Joseph Hanson (born January 6 1987), better known as Egoraptor, is an animator, voice actor and musician who voices Gateaux in Mighty Magiswords, who debuted in the short, Too Many Warriors. Other regular characters he played include Delivery Man Steve who debuts in Mighty Magiswords second 11-minute episode, "The Mystery of Loch Mess", Phibby Croax who debuts in the Adventure Academy shorts and Broccoli Dumpkin Kids' member Zonq who debuts in the episode "Cleanliness Is Next to Grupliness".

Outside of Magiswords, he is the leader and co-founder of the Let's Play internet series, Game Grumps. Arin raps and provides vocals in a comedy band called Starbomb, alongside his Game Grumps' co-host singer songwriter Dan Avidan (also known as Danny Sexbang) and instrumentalist Brian Wecht (also known as Ninja Brian). So yeah, pretty cool guy all around.

Trivia[]

  • According to creator Kyle Carrozza, when Hanson congratulated him on the series' greenlight, Kyle approached him for freelance character design work on the show but he declined. Although Hanson offered his voiceover services, while Kyle was aware of his VO history, he wasn't aware of his SAG-AFTRA status until he informed him which led him to be cast on the show.
    • While Hanson himself doesn't have total recall of the exchange, he believed that it could've been a possibility and his decision to decline the freelance offer was presumably at a time when he wasn't available.
  • There are several Game Grumps references throughout the series, purposely implanted by creator Kyle Carrozza as he was a fan of Arin's YouTube series. These references appear regardless of whenever or not any of Arin's characters are centered on the joke.[1]
